Finals might be over but the work continues for Team Las Vegas. Our students have completed their final exams and submitted their last assignments for the Spring 2017 semester.

Our Solar Decathlon team was also invited to present at the Fred and Harriet Cox Senior Design Competition. This year’s engineering graduates were recognized for their outstanding projects. Many of the top donors and supports of the College of Engineering were in attendance. Our team had the opportunity to discuss our progress in construction and fundraise.

Construction Update

Our team has also been actively working on construction. Progress has been made on the mechanical pod that will house the solar thermal unit. The welding has been nearly completed for the construction masonry units (CMU). The home is set to be inspected sometime this week. As soon as the chasis arrives, construction is set to pick up. Make sure to stop by and say hello to all of the hardworking students off the Paradise campus.
