What did you do on Spring Break?

Posted on — By Valentina Alayon

With Spring Break coming to an end, the team continues working hard to complete our upcoming U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon deliverable. The nine deliverables are team submittals to the DOE outlining design, strategies and compliance. The D7 submittal focuses on the project summary and public exhibit materials. This is our 2nd to last deliverable, a true mark of how far we have come.

Social Media Update

We could like to take this time to thank all of you who like, share, retweet, and interact with us on social media. Within the last couple of weeks, our Facebook page likes have increased remarkably. Our team is incredibly passionate about this competition and our design. THANK YOU for choosing to follow us on this journey and helping us build awareness for our project.

 Spring Break Construction Site Update

On our construction site, things have already started to pick up. Our team has poured our deck footings which will be the foundation for our home. Our team has also been completing their Risk Management trainings. All of this hard work doesn’t mean we can’t can some fun.

On Saturday, April 22nd, Team Las Vegas will be attending Greenfest. Greenfest is Southern Nevada’s biggest event in promoting sustainability. Our team will be presenting our design. We will also have Team Las Vegas t-shirts available for sale for anyone interested in supporting us. Make sure to stop by!

If you aren’t able to attend Greenfest but are still interested in supporting Team Las Vegas by purchasing a t-shirt for $10 contact unlvsd2017@gmail.com.  We are not delivering on orders of less than 10 t-shirts at this time but t-shirts will be available for pickup on campus. Keep an eye out for upcoming events in which we will be selling our shirts.

Stay tuned for a very big update at the end of the month!!
